Description
The demands for a highly trained, technical workforce in today's knowledge-based economy, especially in the biosciences, are extraordinary and mounting. Those states the effectively address these education and workforce needs will be in a stronger position to grow and develop their bioscience industry clusters. The Battelle 2009 Biosciences Education Report will be released announcing the findings and expert panel analysis of trends and indicators of strengths and needs of middle and high school science education at the state and national level. Attendees to this session will represent industry, educators, federal and state policymakers, and education department leaders.
