Sandra Enticknap is a partner with Miller Thomson LLP in Vancouver. Ms. Enticknap practices in the area of charities, estates and trusts, estate litigation and related matters. She provides advice to individuals, financial institutions, government and major charities. Ms. Enticknap was a member of the Board of the CAGP-ACPDP™ Vancouver RoundTable from 2002 to 2006. She is a frequent speaker at conferences and on courses related to charities, wills, estates and trusts. Ms. Enticknap was a member of the Testate Succession Committee of the Succession Law Reform project which reviewed the succession laws in British Columbia and reported to the government in 2006. She was named to the Lexpert list of leading lawyers in Canada for 2007.

Susan is a partner at Miller Thomson LLP, Toronto. Susan works with charities and non-profit organizations directly dealing with all aspects of their affairs. She has particular expertise in dealing with matters arising under the Income Tax Act (Canada). Her background in tax and corporate matters ensures she is able to offer quick practical solutions to her clients. Susan is Chair of the Miller Thomson Charities and Not-For-Profit Industry Group, and Chair of the Canada Bar Association Charities and Not-For-Profit Section.

Description
Participants will learn about the issues related to protecting charitable donations, including a review of the Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) legislation in Ontario and the Charitable Purposes Preservation Act in British Columbia. Included will be a review of the steps to consider in respect of existing gifts and future gifts of unrestricted funds, restricted funds and endowment funds.
