Are we waiting for yet more wealth, power and information before we seriously attempt to make the world a better place? From our metaphorical mountaintop we have spectacular views of the past, the future, other cultures and places. How can we use these views to move forward in a positive and constructive way? Robert Bateman, a well-known artist, naturalist and spokesman for many environmental issues is the subject of numerous books and films, honours and awards. He is an Officer of the Order of Canada.
