Description
Data is arguably the lifeblood of our industry. Accurate, clean data is essential to every decision and action insurers take. This general session will examine both the prevalence of data quality issues and the significance of those issues. Several actual data quality disasters will be examined. The sensitivity of loss reserve estimation to such disasters will be emphasized.
The session will offer tests to screen data for quality as well as offer guidance and a regimen to improve data quality.
