Description
Program Description
The days where actuaries simply applied methods to produce a single point estimate of reserves are over! Nowadays, understanding more about the variability of reserve estimates, from a range of estimates to a full distribution of outcomes, is more important than ever before.
In this webinar, attendees will learn the basics of reserve variability and reserve ranges. In addition, the session will cover the theory and assumptions underlying two of the more popular models used to develop distributions, the Mack and bootstrap models, so that attendees will be prepared to use these models on their own data.
Intended Audience
This webinar is open to CAS Members and Non-Members. Members whose responsibilities include Accounting/Financial Reporting, Enterprise Risk Management, Strategic/Financial Planning, Reserving, Risk & Capital Management and Valuation are encouraged to attend.
Furthermore, any attendees thinking about attending the more advanced sessions offered at the CLRS on this topic may benefit from the review of the basics that will be covered in this webinar.
