This is an introduction to Medicare Set Aside laws and recent developments in regards to changes in its application. Panelists will cover information that actuaries need to be aware of in setting reserves and understanding the impacts on historical claims (general liability and workers compensation). There will also be an update on how the industry views these laws and what is being done legislatively to account for these changes.
