Dr. Tammy Heflebower is vice president of Marzano Research Laboratory in Englewood, Colorado. She is a national consultant with experience in urban, rural, and suburban districts. Dr. Heflebower has served as a classroom teacher, building-level leader, national trainer, professional development director, and district leader. She recently worked at Douglas County Public Schools as the director of curriculum, instruction, and assessment. A prominent member of numerous educational organizations, Dr. Heflebower has served as president of the Nebraska Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development and president-elect for the Professional Development Organization for Nebraska Educational Service Units. Her new book, Teaching and Assessing in the 21st Century is due out this fall.
