Dee Wisor graduated from Dickinson College in 1973 and from the University of Denver School of Law in 1976. He joined Sherman & Howard in 1982 after five years of practice with another Denver law firm during which time his practice consisted principally of Colorado municipal finance matters. Prior to that, he was Staff Attorney to the Colorado Municipal League. His practice primarily involves municipal bond approvals and disclosure work for a variety of Colorado and Nevada issuers. He has worked with states, municipalities, counties, school districts, special districts and joint action agencies. He was a member of the Board of Education of the Cherry Creek School District for six years from 1990 to 1996 and the Board of Directors of the Colorado School Boards Association from 1995 to 1996. He also served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Northern Colorado from 1986 to 1991. Mr. Wisor was named “2005 Best of the Bar” for Work in Public Finance by the Denver Business Journal. The “Best of the Bar” awards are determined by ballots cast by members of the Colorado bar. He has been also listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 2007.

Description
The passage of any of these three ballot measures will decimate state and local funding of essential government services, including schools. Picture a complete re-brucing of every school district, regardless of what local voters have decided. Consider the consequences of not allowing the state to issue debt and for strict local caps on the amount and duration of borrowing. The state interest free loan program will be a thing of the past and forget about leasing your copier machine. These citizen's initiatives which are on the November 2010 ballot will dramatically impact Colorado government finances. Learn how this could affect your district.
