Vody Herrmann, Assistant Commissioner,
Colorado Department of Education

As a Colorado native, I was born and raised in La Junta, moving to Fort Morgan in 1969. I have two beautiful daughters, Tami, a Lieutenant in the Navy, stationed in San Diego, and Andi an advertising sales representative in Fort Morgan. I have four grandchidren and three step grandchildren. I have been blessed to share the last twenty seven years with my husband-solemate Rodney.
In my early years, I worked in various fields, searching for just the right one. I was a state patrol dispatcher, accountant for retail business, owner operator of a welding fabrication business, and then found my passion in public school finance.
Finding a need for a little life beyond work, my husband and I enjoy fishing, gardening, short day trips, and playing with our two dogs, Sassy and Jazzy.
