Description
In employment law, "not knowing" can hurt you. The truth is that the greatest risk of liability for any association comes from its employees. This session will dispel the top five myths in employment law so that participants will be able to better avoid these liabilities and use the law proactively to create a stable and productive workplace. Topics will include the differences between independent contractors and employees; the risks in using successive fixed term agreements; and the association's legal obligations in the unfortunate event of a termination.
