SPEAKER
:
Association leaders consistently report that governance is the most significant obstacle to the full embrace of innovation in their organizations. It is time, therefore, to radically innovate our approach in this critical area of association work by building a model of "ungovernance" that emphasizes the freedom and opportunity to create new value through innovation, while maintaining the organization's operational discipline and fiscal responsibility. This session will present the new Innovation Ungovernance Model, and engage learners in an exploratory dialogue around its elements and possible application to their associations.
Jeff will examine:
- Why is innovation critical to the long-term sustainability and success of associations?
- How do current association governance practices interfere with the disciplined pursuit of innovation?
- How will the Innovation Ungovernance Model enable greater value creation through innovation?
