Jack Shand CMC, CAE, President, Leader
Quest Inc., has been providing leadership counsel to executives and boards for 25 years.
He led three national associations as CEO – two national business associations representing
retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers and,for ten years, the Canadian Society of Association
Executives (CSAE) where he provided leadership and professional counsel to executives representing Canada’s major business, professional and philanthropic organizations.
Jack is a past member of the education
committee of the American Society of
Association Executives, has been chair of the executive education committee of McMaster
University’s School of Business; a national director and committee chair of the ALS Society of Canada; director of Gifts In Kind Canada
and, judge for the Peter F. Drucker Award for Innovation in Nonprofit Management (Canada).
He is co-author of CSAE’s publications, The Role of Volunteers in Nonprofit Organizations
and Succession Planning.
A graduate of the University of Toronto, Jack is both a certified management consultant (CMC)
and a certified association executive (CAE). He was first listed in the Canadian Who’s Who in 1986. He maintains professional memberships
in many organizations, including: the Canadian Society of Association Executives, the Canadian
Association of Management Consultants, the Human Resources Professionals Association of
Ontario, and the International Association of Facilitators.
