Description
In an electronic health care world, drug developers have the opportunity to leverage the advantages of EHRs for patients, physicians, regulators, and the developers themselves. This session will discuss various use cases to explore the use of data from EHRs in accelerating a variety of processes associated with clinical trials and drug development across typical health care settings and research processes.
Learning Objectives:
Discuss how to use technology to access and utilize medical knowledge stored in electronic patient records while maintaining data privacy and security
Identify the empirical advantages of using EHRs in research environments
Explore the practical application of the use of patient data from electronic health records in reducing bottlenecks and manual processes which have historically slowed clinical trials and drug development.
