Description
Employee Assistance programs have sailed into a new era with more research and more precautions on how to best help others experiencing critical incidents. What enhances recovery from critical incidents? What worsens it? The presenter will review individual screening tools for potential use by participants as well as offer a tool developed to assess a work group request for critical incident intervention.
Learning Objective 1:) Participants will learn the best practice for effectively assessing the need for critical incident support.
Learning Objective 2:) Participants will discover what enhances an individuals recovery from critical incidents.
Learning Objective 3:) Participants will learn key information to ensure a successful intervention, including, but not limited to: identifying all affected role groups, length of service, workplace culture and workgroup history related to the situation.
