Description
Recent research on client outcome in counseling/psychotherapy has important implications for EAP practice where brief therapy interventions are the norm and where high quality and cost effective service delivery are necessary. This presentation will present results of an EAP based research project in Ireland that used two simple and brief, client-completed, rating scales of alliance and outcome to improve client retention and outcome from EAP counseling services.
Learning Objective 1:) Learn how to implement a real-time outcome feedback process in an EAP setting.
Learning Objective 2:) Understand how to operationalize real-time feedback on client outcomes and alliances to improve the effectiveness of brief interventions.
Learning Objective 3:) Obtain the most up to date research on the outcomes of brief counseling interventions.
