Description
This presentation will review an EA response to an employee death from a terrorist attack in a hot zone. The presenters will discuss how EA professionals can respond to an international critical incident through mobilization of existing resources and effective partnering. This includes utilizing the global corporation's expertise in reaching and providing service to their employees. The presentation will include discussion of the decision making process in determining the nature of interventions and consultations, utilizing a solution focused approach while taking into consideration and being sensitive to cross cultural differences.

Objectives:
• quickly and effectively deliver EA services in a foreign and hostile environment using a culturally sensitive, solution focused approach;
• develop a domestic strategy that precedes deployment of a critical response team;
• discuss the importance of the strategic selection of crisis workers.
