Description
The value proposition of an EAP to an organization lies within the ability of the EA professional to partner with managers to maximize employee performance. Managers are often not equipped to tease out the personal issues while appropriately focusing on managing performance. Positioning the EA professional as a business partner and management coach in these situations can result in an empowered manager and a more efficient and productive team. This workshop will focus on the nuts & bolts of creating a collaborative relationship, embedding the EA program within the corporate culture and identifying challenges facing the EA professional when addressing performance issues.

Objectives:
• engage managers as a partner and business consultant;
• identify the EA program's own challenges in addressing performance issues;
• identify and address sensitive situations managers routinely face and help managers optimize their interpersonal skills.
