Description
Approved for 1.5 PDHs in Domain II
Mediation is an optimal means of intervening in many of the issues that trigger an employee to access EA services. However many EA professionals have limited knowledge of how mediation can be an effective intervention. Mediation can: (1) reduce the implications of workplace conflict; (2) provide an effective and efficient intervention to personal stressors; and (3) increase the impact of EA professionals. This session includes original activities designed to clarify how mediation works as an effective conflict resolution tool in various situations. Attendees will receive materials about mediation principles, issues in creating an effective workplace mediation program, and referral considerations.
