Hyong Un, M.D. is the Head of EAP and Chief Psychiatric Officer for Aetna Behavioral Health. He is responsible for clinical strategic planning and overall accountability for the EAP operations and product. He also oversees the development of behavioral health disease and care management programs that promote overall health and productivity.

Description
Preventing the onset and/or managing the course of chronic illness is a critical objective in reforming the current health care system. This session will focus the how lifestyle and behavior can impact the onset and course of chronic illness. EAP based interventions both at an individual and organizational level can have a signficant impact in changing health behaviors and in promoting overall health, resilience and productivity. This session will describe an Aetna pilot that integrates disease management, wellness and behavior change strategies built on a EAP foundation.
1) Identify impact of lifestyle and personal behavior on onset and course of chronic illness;
2) Delineate current health care strategies to promote health and wellness;
3) Identify EAP capabilities that are relevant to impactful health and wellness promotion.
