Description
An interactive session designed to stimulate proactive planning for EA professionals as they begin supporting a new generation of employees: returning Service Members living and working with the invisible wounds of war (Post-Traumatic Stress and Traumatic Brain Injury) as well as other return-to-work issues for employees with disabilities. Myths and facts about mental health in the workplace and psychological health injuries of war (and related stigma) will be addressed. Learn promising practices and walk away with great resources and tools to add to your EA "tool belt."
1) Identify and adress return-to-work challenges, solutions, and resources for the injured, transitioning service member and employees with disabilities; 2) Effectively dispell some of the myths associated with the invisible wounds of war (TBI and PTSD); and 3) Create a plan for identifying and disseminating resources
