Description
By 2013, 2.2 billion people will regularly be accessing the web. The newest generation of EAP counselors and employees will be internet savvy like no other. The use of technology can help to significantly decrease the cost of healthcare while strengthening the EAP's role with Human Resources in helping to increase productivity. This session will offer partifipants insight into how screening and brief intervention, online support groups, web-based coaching, and other addiction treatment and recovery support technology can be incorporated into their existing EA services and continuum of care. These resources will help EAPs reach those employees who otherwise might not engage in more standard types of intervention or treatment services.
1) Use social media and other cutting edge technological tools to enhance EA services; 2) Apply cutting edge technologies within currently provided EA current services; and 3) Select a specific framework for technology innovation best suited to your professional needs.
