Nanette Santoro, MD Dr. Santoro is a professor and the director of the Division of eproductive Endocrinology and Infertility in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women�s Health at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York. Dr. Santoro�s major research interests include the reproductive endocrinology of premature, peri-, and postmenopause, infertility, and the physiology of gonadotropin-releasing hormone secretion. She has been involved with numerous industry- and government-supported clinical trials, including the Study of Women�s Health Across the Nation (SWAN), the Kronos Early Estrogen Prevention Study (KEEPS), and the Reproductive Physiology of Ovarian Failure, has authored or co-authored more than 100 peer-reviewed articles, books, book chapters, and abstracts, and is a co-editor of the Textbook of Perimenopausal Gynecology. Dr. Santoro serves on the editorial board of Fertility and Sterility, and Menopause: The Journal of The North American Menopause Society and is an ad hoc reviewer for the JSGI, Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, American Journal of Ob/Gyn, Climacteric, and numerous other journals. She is currently Secretary-Treasurer of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Vice President Nominee of the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology. She is a past Society for Gynecologic Investigation Board Member and Chair of the Membership Committee, and represents the SGI on FASEB�s Scientific Policy Committee. She is past Chair of ACOG�s Committee on Practice Bulletins in Gynecology and member of the Document Review Panel. Dr. Santoro is Past President of Women in Endocrinology and Chair of the Endocrine Society�s Annual Meeting Steering Committee for 2002. She is currently a member of the Endocrine Society�s Government Relations Committee. She received her medical degree from Albany Medical College of Union University in Albany, New York, and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, New York, followed by a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.
