Exploring the Body's Innate Wisdom: An Experiential Workshop in Meditation and Mindfulness
Track : Saturday, October 24, 2009
Program Code: 040
Date: Saturday, October 24, 2009
Time: 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM  EST
Location: Telus Room
SPEAKER :
Gaisheda Kheawok, Director, Whispering Song School of Energy Medicine
Description
In this workshop you will be introduced to the fundamental principles of energy medicine, a rapidly expanding field of interest and research, and an area identified by the National Institute of Health as one of the five key domains of complementary and alternative medicine. Energy Medicine recognizes that disturbances in the subtle energy bodies that surround and permeate the physical body impact our health and wellness, leading to “dis-ease.”

Participants will be introduced to the four primary energy bodies which influence health (physical, mental, spiritual and emotional) through interactive exercises on meditation and mindful self-awareness. The process of applying the energy bodies to develop skill in “energetic diagnosis” will be highlighted, providing participants with a conceptual and experiential introduction to the innate abilities we all possess – abilities we can develop to assess our own energetic states (and for health practitioners, those of our clients).

Vibrational techniques, which influence the four energy bodies to promote healing and preventative wellness, will be explored and demonstrated, with particular focus on the use of sound and Gaisheda Kheawok’s pioneering work in Soul-Based Energy MedicineTM. Experience the benefits of energy medicine - learn to tap into the wisdom that is already within, through your own experience of vibrational medicine and meditation.
