Description
General consensus within the Harry Potter community is that it is important for readers to be able to interact with the books. This presentation proposes that Harry Potter represents a literary form that promotes mythic thinking, and that it is crucial for all readers to be introduced to this form of thinking and taught how to embrace it. Mythic thinking allows people to recognize myth in all aspects of life, and incorporate the myth into their own lives. Priscilla will explain the principles of mythic thinking and provide some guidelines for incorporating it into one's life with examples from the Harry Potter series. This approach to the books is a channel that will open doors to the unconscious and bring about a new level of enjoyment of the books.
