Description
The wizarding world has some societal prejudices regarding bloodlines. Not everyone feels this way, unfortunately some of the more influential members of the wizarding world subscribe to these beliefs religiously. Readers quickly come away with some guidelines for the blood issue. Pure-blood is the best or should I say is highly preferable. Half-blood is acceptable, at least most of the time, and Muggle born is not so quietly scorned. There is also a prejudice against part-human wizards. Various members of the wizarding world do not see magical creatures, even sentient ones, as equals. To some, the part of a wizard that is not human is considered inferior which makes the person as a whole worth less than their fully human counterparts. My presentation will look at the attitudes of the wizarding world toward Muggle-borns, Half-bloods, and part-humans. It will also look at Muggle-borns', Half-bloods', and part-humans' attitudes toward themselves.
