The move from high school to college places new demands on students with dyslexia to demonstrate proficiency on entrance examinations, select the university best suited to their needs and secure appropriate accommodations. The parents' role in transition planning will be discussed and will focus on the differences between high school and college, and the essential steps that must be taken to reach self-advocacy.
