Description
Are We Listening? Encouraging the Involvement of Patients and Families as a Voice Throughout the Organization

An active patient- and family-centered advisory council begins with an organizational commitment and the active recruitment of patient and family advisors. Opportunities are co-created for sharing of patient and family advisor perspectives and talents that make a difference in patient care delivery.

Dartmouth-Hitchcock: Making Real the Practice of Patient- and Family-Centered Care Across the Organization

Efforts to move patient- and family-centered care beyond pediatrics stalled at Dartmouth- Hitchock. In 2006, a team formed to further the goal of institution-wide cultural change. We will share effective strategies employed to gain acknowledgement, support, and partnership.
