Learning from Patients and Families: The Development of a Patient- and Family-Centered Curricula for Support Staff

Patients and families develop strong connections with all members of their health care team including support staff. This presentation describes an educational program created by the patient and family advisory council for support staff, offering an opportunity to learn about the human experience of cancer.

The Chief Nurse's Role in Assuring Patient- and Family-Centered Care

This presentation summarizes the results of a collaborative study in which six Chief Nursing Officers (CNO’s) were observed to assess their role in assuring their organization’s commitment to patient- and family-centered care as a framework for care delivery.
