The importance of involving patients and families in all health care activities, including research programs, is now being recognized. This session will outline practical ways that patients and families can be involved throughout the research continuum.
Sharing "The Gift of Life" in Siberia: A Collaboration Between Scientist, Patient, and Administrator
A doctor, volunteer, and administrator organized a symposium in Siberia and share this experience. This unusual collaboration is a model for reaching out to other cultures by accessing the resources of a medical institution committed to conquering cancer.
