Through parent and professional partnership, RI has implemented a system of continuous quality improvement in the special needs service delivery system. This presentation will describe the benefits, stages, and evaluation of a systems change process involving a variety of stakeholders.

Partnering with Families to Create a New Model of Care for Children Living with Medically Complex Conditions

In response to concerns identified by families of children with multiple serious chronic health problems, a new inpatient service was created at Seattle Children’s specially to care for children living with medically complex conditions and their families using a multidisciplinary approach.
