This presentation describes the implementation of the “Patient Care Bundle,” known to improve the patient experience, and staff satisfaction. It includes the patient/ family determining their individual needs and being included in the shift report at the patient’s bedside.

Implementing Bedside Shift Report in a Multi-Hospital System: The Nitty-Gritty

A multi-hospital system desired to strengthen patient- and family-centered initiatives and improve patient satisfaction scores. Nurse-to-nurse bedside shift reports were implemented. Patient and family advisors were involved in planning and development. Systemwide implementation was achieved using Diffusion of Innovations model.
