This offering will share details and insights associated with family presence culture assimilation in an academic, community Magnet health network. A focus will be upon examples of family presence in non-traditional settings, such as the operating room during organ procurement.
Improving Patient Rounds (IPR): Patient- and Family-Centered Care "Takes On" Academic Bedside Rounds at the Medical College of Georgia
The Medical College of Georgia introduces Patient- and Family-Centered Care (PFCC) Rounds into an adult care hospital’s general medicine unit. This quality improvement initiative measures PFCC Rounds’ impact on patient safety, patient/family satisfaction, interdisciplinary care team performance, and medical education.
