Listening to patient stories reveals how patients have experienced their hospital stays, how their perceptions and emotions are influenced by these challenges, and how we can best mediate the designed environment to ease effects on patients and better support caregivers. This presentation will discuss numerous ways of developing, evaluating, and integrating patient and family input into the design process of health care projects to insure key decision making is based on patient- and family-centered centered concepts.
