Description
Incorporating PFCC Education into Occupational Therapy Curricula

This presentation will provide an overview of patient- and family-centered care (PFCC) education for occupational therapy programs. Teaching methodology and strategies to incorporate families will be discussed as well as the process of initiating a PFCC culture in a nursing and health sciences college.

Walking Our Talk: Aligning Elements of Family-Centered Care with Undergraduate Child Health Nursing Education

In our third year undergraduate child health nursing program, course content reflects key elements of family-centered care. However, instructors further reinforce content by role modeling family-centered elements of mutual
“dignity and respect, information sharing, participation, and collaboration” in our teaching.
