Purpose
To offer practicing nurses an educational activity that enhances the cognitive and practical skills necessary to maintain proficiency in nursing practice and to improve the quality of patient care.

Objectives
After attending the Nursing2013 Symposium, you should be able to:

  • Identify the newest therapies and guidelines for managing sepsis, stroke, trauma, diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disease and more.
  • Apply skills in evidence-based practice including evaluating the literature and conducting performance improvement projects.
  • Demonstrate skills learned at workshops and discussions that will help enhance your clinical competency and decision-making ability.

Provider Accreditation
Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW), publisher of Nursing2013, will award a maximum of 25 contact hours for this continuing nursing education activity.

Lippincott Williams & Wilkins is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

This activity is also provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP 11749 for 25 contact hours. LWW is also an approved provider by the District of Columbia and Florida #50-1223. Your certificate is valid in all states.
