Description
Learn about the Clifton Strengths Finder, researched and developed by the Gallup Organization, and how it helps college students to merge academics, career development, and understanding of workplace culture. Find out why the most effective managers focus on employee strengths and how StrengthsQuest can be used as a professional development and team building tool for staff. Presenters from Point Loma Nazarene University and the University of Nevada Las Vegas will describe how they have used StrengthsQuest for the following purposes: 1) For a freshman and transfer Student seminar, a career planning course and a Senior Internship course based on curriculum developed by the late Chip Anderson, Ph.D., leading expert on student retention and success. 2) As an integrated component for career counseling and career development practices for undecided students. Additional emphasis will be placed on using StrengthsQuest as an assessment tool along with Strong and MBTI. 3) As a professional development and team building tool for the workplace.
