Description
According to NACE Job Outlook 2007, leadership skills are one of the top skills employers value in job candidates. In fall 2007, Auburn University's Career Development Service introduced a leadership program focusing on the study of leadership theories based on several popular leadership models and assessments including the Leadership Challenge, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, StrengthsQuest, and MBTI. Program participants define and study leadership styles and how to utilize one's personality strengths in the workplace as a leader. This program was implemented to help students understand the definition of leadership and how it impacts their job search and work environment. An overview of the program will be discussed as well as participates' demographics and evaluation measurements and outcomes.
