Description
Many students with disabilities face obstacles that can make the job search process difficult if not impossible. The National Technical Institute for the Deaf's (NTID) Center on Employment helps deaf students develop strategies to pursue their employment successfully. The US Department of Labor's Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) helps bridge the gap between federal and private employers from across the country and talented students with disabilities. NTID and WRP have a long history of working together effectively. This presentation will focus on strategies that have worked through this partnership to provide meaningful co-op/internship and full-time jobs after graduation for students with disabilities.
