Description
Generation Y were born on the web into a virtual world. To reach them and recruit them we need to work in their world, the world of virtual reality and the third dimension. In this virtual world, Second Life is suddenly all the rage with more than 8 million registered users, the only place you can have a real time interview with a yellow alien or a flying squirrel with a giant head. Whether or not Second Life is still around next year, let alone in 5 years time, KPMG and TMP are convinced that the virtual world offers huge opportunities to source global talent in a more innovative, dynamic and cost-effective way. This session looks at how KPMG is sourcing global talent in a virtual world and how the recruitment and advertising consultancy TMP is helping employers target the next generation of job seekers through their own virtual careers fairs. If you are desperate to recruit yellow aliens or guys with names like Zog the Implaler or simply want to understand what all the hype is all about, then join us on our virtual tour of Second Life.
