Description
Do you feel like your Career Services office is a resume and career advising emergency room with students only calling upon you when they are in dire need of help and attention? With career fairs and recruiting seasons seeming to start earlier each year, students begin the semester clamoring to prepare their resumes for the recruiting rush. What can we do to move from "emergency care" to "proactive (or preventive) care"? How do we help students prepare earlier for the career management process, allowing enough time to develop a personal career management plan? Join this session to learn innovative techniques in on-boarding best practices and how to keep that momentum going throughout the year. This session will focus on a successful (and free!) communication tool and process implemented at Texas A&M's Mays Graduate Business School and Bush School of Government & Public Service.
