A major influx of Saudi Arabian students to
Western Illinois University's campus precipitated a
need to better serve these students by providing
the campus and community with means to learn
about Arab culture and to examine commonly
held stereotypes. A NAFSA/DOS CTG grant
provided the means; films, workshops, and other
programs provided the methods. This session
will examine the proposal, implementation, and
lessons learned from this program.
