The Role and Authority of the Catholic Education Board, Especially in Relation to the Administration
Track : April 6, 2010
Program Code: BD001
Date: Tuesday, April 6, 2010
Time: 1:15 PM to 2:30 PM  EST
Location: 205A
SPEAKER :
Regina M. Haney
Description
Many boards fall short of their leadership potential because they are either relegated to or impose on themselves a passive review-and-approve role, participating only at a surface level in decision making about significant issues facing the school. Participants will examine best practices to effectively put into practice their role and authority. In addition, the role and authority of the board will be compared and contrasted with that of the administrator or CEO. The role of each must be properly understood and practiced.
