Description
This session focuses on teachers' experiences in a gifted education clinical practicum sponsored by the Murray Institute, as a partnership between the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis and the University of St. Thomas. We describe how teachers acquired competencies for addressing the academic needs of gifted learners in Catholic schools and how teachers engaged in outreach activities in several urban schools in the Archdiocese. Lessons learned from these experiences will be of interest to educators who want to provide differentiated instruction and challenging curriculum for advanced learners.
