Description
This study is a response to the crisis in urban Catholic elementary education - a system of schools that have historically provided quality education to underprivileged populations. The study identifies factors associated with school closures; examines trends in schools still in operation; and provides examples of successful aspects of schooling which are replicable and beneficial for other Catholic, private and public schools in urban sectors.
