Proactive teachers structure the classroom environment for success. They develop a positive style of authority, know how to "read" needs from behavior, and applying skills to avoid, redirect, or correct misbehavior. These dynamics of self-discipline are learnable skills. They are the focus of this presentation for teachers of K-8 classrooms.
