Description
Asset/liability models are required for much of the work completed by actuaries, including cash flow testing, actuarial appraisals, C-3 Phase II RBC, VACARVM and SOP 03-1. These models will also be required for principles-based reserving. In this informative session, you'll get an introduction to asset models. This session is a must for those who have limited experience or need a refresher.

Instructors will:
• Discuss considerations in modeling various asset classes
• Explain models and methods for projecting asset cash flows
• Introduce common pitfalls of asset modeling
• Discuss special issues with real-estate and private equity investments
• Discuss commonsense methods of validating asset-modeling results.
