The revised Qualification Standards, effective as of Jan. 1, 2008 were prepared by the American Academy of Actuary’s Committee on Qualifications and impact actuaries who wish to issue Statement of Actuarial Opinion (SAOs) in 2009 and thereafter. The Society of Actuaries (SOA) has issued a continuing professional development requirement that became effective in 2009. This session addresses the impact that these requirements will have on members and tips on methods to track your progress. The SOA believes in good faith that this session qualifies toward the professionalism requirements and organized activity requirements in the Qualification Standards and SOA CPD requirements.
