Many health actuaries are at a transition point in their careers, due to either internal motives- "I'd like to do something new and nontraditional" - or external motives - "My job could be eliminated, but I can still use my skills in other ways." Jumping off of the "Untapped Opportunities for Actuaries in Health" strategic initiative and market research project, this session will explore a nontraditional health actuary's career and offer some ideas and tools for long-term career planning.
