The European Commission hopes that Solvency II will set the standard globally for the insurance industry. Its ambitions in this respect do not appear too extreme. This session aims to address some of the lessons learned by implementation and ask the question: Should U.S. companies and/or U.S. subsidiaries of U.S. companies be worried? What plans should U.S. insurers be making?
