Description
The session will discuss the current state of the art of social insurance projection models. The objectivity of these models, through the use of prudent, though realistic, actuarial assumptions considering the complex interrelationships among the relevant demographic and economic factors, is essential to properly assess the long-term financial sustainability of a social insurance scheme.
These social insurance projection models and corresponding analysis allow for a better understanding of the factors that influence related costs and help decision makers and the population in general make informed decisions about how to enhance or modernize their social insurance schemes.
